Hotel de Banville Paris
The Hotel de Banville, completely renovated,
combines today the charm of the 1930's with a resolutely top-of-the-range design.
Live music every Tuesday evening from 6.30pm to 10pm.
The materials have been chosen carefully to create bright and cosy spaces...
The heart and soul of the living room is expressed around the piano,
the chimney and the old paintings.
The corridors and stairway in the Hôtel de Banville opt for simplicity and elegance.
In keeping with the 1930s architecture, Parisian stone walls, marble and the highly ornamental black rail are now highlighted
by the deep red of the room doors and the linen drapes at the windows. The ultimate detail comes with the unusual floor
lighting accentuating the plate glass thresholds that are engraved with the room numbers.
Inspired by the style of 19th Century grand houses, the "Théodore de Banville" bedroom is a bright and cozy haven of peace. In the room, the huge bed is topped with embroidered organdie and the walls covered with typical French "toile de Jouy", plenty of storage space is available in the beautifully designed units made out of ancient shutters. The bathroom is one of a country cottage, with a sunken bath, ancient tiled floor and antique mirrors. A double-facetted decor, for a unique room in Paris.
The most recent creations in the Hôtel de Banville, Les Pastourelles symbolise the care that Marianne Moreau takes in decorating the rooms. In her three latest creations, she has chosen to evoke the charm of the handsome residences found in the Auvergne. The distinction of noble materials, old marble, soft linen, painted panelling, and ceramic basins create an inviting and marvellously snug decor. As the magnificent bathrooms were inspired by region’s “cantous”, the large fireplaces made for sitting into the night with friends here house an old fashioned cast iron bath behind a very beautiful Canovas fabric.
An invitation to dream... "L'appartement de Marie" with its gently sloping roof, was designed by Marianne Moreau as if she wanted to entertain the Italian painter of her favourite work of art.
An unforgettable breakfast with Paris at your feet, the adorable terrace bathed in sunshine gives "La chambre d'Amélie" an indescribable charm.
The refinement and intimacy of the room, each telling a different story. You will feel totaly at home just as you turn the pages of a novel, which you know instantly from the first few lines will make you dream.
